Books, audiotapes, CD-ROMs
and videotapes, covering such topics as specific
cancers, treatments and side-effects, coping, cancer

books and materials for on-site use at the Learning
Center.
Computer stations providing
access to cancer-related information on the Internet
and health-related CD-ROMs. Our staff is on-hand to
help you perform searches and use the
machines.
To broaden your search still further you can access
the Horizon Online Catalog, a computerized database of
materials owned by the Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences
Library. It contains records of books, journal titles,
audiovisuals, theses, reserve items, government documents
and multimedia located at the Eccles Library, the Hope
Fox Eccles Clinical Library, and libraries which are
members of the Utah Health Sciences Library Consortium

Our Learning Center is located on the beautiful 1st
floor of Huntsman Cancer Institute. This relaxing
environment includes comfortable upholstered sofas and
chairs, small tables, computer stations, and video
viewing kiosks.
CancerHelp™! Is Here
The Patient and Public Education Department announces the
arrival of CancerHelp™!, an easy-to-use, touch screen
computer program that helps patients and their families
find answers to their questions about cancer. It contains
information from the National Cancer Institute's
Physician Data Query Database® (PDQ) in English and
Spanish. It also has drug information from the U.S.
Pharmacopoeia.
The CancerHelp™ computer is located in the waiting area of Clinic A on
the second floor of Huntsman Cancer Hospital.
