Ronald Weiss, MD, is a professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Utah School of Medicine and a physician and investigator at Huntsman Cancer Institute.
Weiss is board certified in anatomic/clinical pathology and in hematology. He is a hematopathology staff consultant in the Department of Pathology and at ARUP Laboratories. Weiss regularly rotates on the bone marrow and lymph node sign-out service, and also signs out hematologic flow cytometry interpretations for patients at University of Utah Hospitals & Clinics and Huntsman Cancer Hospital. At the School of Medicine, he teaches pathology residents and hematopathology and hematology/oncology fellows.
After receiving his medical degree in 1980 from Creighton University College of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska (where he graduated cum laude), Weiss completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Utah. He also received an executive MBA from the University of Utah’s Graduate School of Business in 1989.
