Although some of your cancer care will be provided in the outpatient clinic, it may be necessary to admit you to Huntsman Cancer Institute’s inpatient unit. Some admissions are planned, to allow surgery or continuous chemotherapy treatment. Others may be sudden, the result of an unexpected change in your condition that requires direct observation and care. We recommend keeping an overnight bag containing your personal care items and medications ready for this possibility. You can find details about Huntsman Cancer Hospital’s services in the Hospital Guide.
